Job Spotlight: Technical Lead (GEN AI Developer)

As a Technical Lead at Birlasoft, you’ll spearhead the development, implementation, and engineering of next-generation GenAI applications. This hands-on role requires expertise in Python, cloud platforms, large language models (LLMs), and front-end technologies to deliver scalable, robust solutions from the ground up.

  • Must-Have Skills: Expertise in Autogen, CrewAI, or WrenAI (any two)

What You’ll Do

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking GenAI projects. Here’s a glimpse of your responsibilities:

1. Develop Cutting-Edge GenAI Applications

  • Build and automate GenAI applications using Python and frameworks like Autogen, Crew.ai, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or LangChain.
  • Move beyond proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to production-ready solutions using tools like Pylint and Pyrit.

2. Architect Scalable Solutions

  • Design architectures to handle large-scale structured and unstructured data.
  • Implement multi-modal LLM applications for text, vision, and speech models.

3. Fine-Tune and Optimize

  • Fine-tune Small Language Models (SLMs) for domain-specific use cases using techniques like PEFT, QLoRA, or LoRA.
  • Leverage tools like Pyrit, HAX toolkit, and Bleu to ensure anti-hallucination and responsible AI practices.

4. Master Front-End and Cloud Technologies

  • Develop intuitive front-end interfaces using React, Streamlit, AG Grid, and JavaScript.
  • Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS.

5. Drive Data Modernization and Integration

  • Build automated data curation pipelines and modernize data for GenAI applications.
  • Integrate APIs (REST, SOAP) and implement OCR and document intelligence using cloud-based tools.

6. Champion LLMOps and Responsible AI

  • Apply LLMOps practices for model deployment, monitoring, and management.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical AI standards and regulations.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled Technical Lead with a passion for innovation and technical excellence. Here are the qualifications:

Required Skills

  • 6-8 years of experience in AI development, with deep expertise in Python programming.
  • Proficiency in LLM frameworks (Autogen, Crew.ai, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or LangChain).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS – any two).
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies (React, Streamlit, AG Grid, JavaScript).
  • Expertise in fine-tuning techniques (PEFT, QLoRA, or LoRA) and LLMOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Modular RAG, and responsible AI tools.
  • Experience in data modernization, OCR, document intelligence, and API integration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver scalable solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with large-scale data architectures and multi-modal LLM applications.
  • Knowledge of anti-hallucination tools like Bleu or prompt injection tools like Pyrit.
  • Background in building automated data curation pipelines.
